Posted

The Senior Spotlight series will highlight the senior athletes in the area around the communities of Eagle River, Three Lakes, and Phelps. This week, Mia Tulowitzky of the Northland Pines girls hockey co-op is in the spotlight. She attends Rhinelander High School, as does the one other senior on the team. Tulowitzky’s favorite sport is hockey and she plans on attending UW-Milwaukee after graduation. Here’s more on the Pines hockey co-op senior.
How long have you played hockey?
“I have been playing hockey since sixth grade, but was hurt two of the years. My older brother got me into playing hockey because I would remember going to his games and thinking that it would be so much fun to play, and I loved the environment surrounding hockey.”
If you could time travel to the future or back in time, which would you choose?
“I’d rather go back in time to correct past mistakes and relive happy moments with loved ones who have passed away.”
Do you prefer watching movies or TV shows?
“I prefer TV shows rather than movies because they are longer and I think there is more going on than watching a movie. My favorite show at the moment is New Girl.”
What is your favorite thing about hockey?
“My favorite thing about hockey is the long-lasting friendships that I have made along the way.”
What other sports do you play in?
“I also play soccer in the spring, but my favorite sport is hockey.”
Do you have plans for after high school?
“After high school, I plan to attend UW-Milwaukee in the fall for radiology and a minor in Spanish.”
