Phelps seeks donations for fireworks

Every year, Pauleyn Nystrom of the Phelps Fire Department Auxiliary collects donations for the Phelps Fourth of July fireworks display, above and beyond what is included in the town budget. “I’m collecting for bigger and better fireworks. We need to upgrade our equipment from time to time, and we need supplies,” said Nystrom. “In previous years, the community has been very supportive of this fundraiser.” Donation checks can be made payable to the Town of Phelps Fireworks Fund, with “fireworks” noted in the memo line. Mail donations to the Town of Phelps, P.O. Box 157, Phelps, WI 54554 or to Nystrom at 4222 Sunset Cove Lane, Phelps, WI 54554. This year’s fireworks show will take place Friday, July 4, at approximately 10 p.m. over North Twin Lake, following the 5 p.m. boat parade.
