LOLA to celebrate Make Music Day

Posted

The community is invited to ring in the summer with Land O’ Lakes Arts (LOLA) on Make Music Day this Saturday, June 21, in the Land O’ Lakes Public Library parking lot.

The festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. with a concert by singer-songwriter Bobby Bullet, followed by a campfire sing-along from 6 to 8 p.m., led by Brad Klabunde.

This free, family-friendly event is part of a global celebration of music.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair and instruments for an interactive musical experience.

In addition to the music, guests can enjoy hot dogs and s’mores.

The library is located at 4242 Highway B.

In inclement weather, the event will move indoors to the Snowflake Building.

Additionally, the day before the event, on Friday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, Bullet will teach an introduction to songwriting class at LOLA.

In the group workshop, participants will work together to write one or two original songs, with lyrics created by the class and musical accompaniment provided by Bullet. Bullet will perform the final songs during his Make Music Day concert.
